Thermal Isolation: A Critical Factor for Fuel Tanks in Extreme Cold

In very cold regions, one of the greatest risks for military vehicles is fuel freezing inside the tank. To prevent this, vehicles are often kept running continuously—even when stationary—just to stop the fuel from freezing. This leads to unnecessary fuel consumption and operational inefficiencies.

🔥 Our BUYAN coating provides a solution. Thanks to its unique thermal barrier, it delays the freezing of fuel for hours, even when the vehicle is not running.

🔬 The Thermal Test

We tested two identical fuel tanks—one coated with BUYAN and one uncoated—under controlled low-temperature conditions.

✅ Results:

The uncoated tank’s fuel froze much faster.
The BUYAN-coated tank prevented freezing for several hours, keeping the fuel fluid and operationally ready.
